First Night St Petersburg is the largest family friendly New Year’s Eve Celebration of the Arts in Florida and each year, we bring downtown St Petersburg Art in Unexpected Places. First Night St Pete is a collaboration between local venues and performers in and around downtown St. Petersburg. Each venue showcases a variety of artistic mediums. The annual Fireworks will take place at 8:00 p.m. and midnight and are made possible and presented by the good people at Parkshore Grill, 400 Beach Seafood & Tap house and The Annex.
History + Mission
First Established in 1993 by a group of four very determined women, First Night St Pete is part of a nationwide celebration of the arts which was first created by a woman named Clara in Boston, MA in 1975. First Night St Pete is an independent 501(c)3 not for profit corporation run by a volunteer board of directors and an Executive Director. The mission of First Night is to broaden and deepen the public’s appreciation for the visual and performing and literary arts through an innovative, diverse and high-quality program on New Year’s Eve, which offers the community a shared cultural experience in the center of the city that is accessible and affordable to all.
