 Jerry Carrier - Zydeco Lessons
START YOUR FIRST NIGHT FUN WITH A INTRODUCTION TO Louisiana music and
dance with a short workshop in lively ZYDECO and Cajun waltz. Experience dancing
indigenous to southwest Louisiana and now widely popular throughout the United States,
Europe and Australia as well as other parts of the world.
Lead instructor Jerry Carrier has taught Zydeco and Cajun rhythms for 10 years, starting
in Baltimore and Washington, D.C. In Florida, he has been featured at the Ft. Lauderdale
festival, Eckerd College and many other venues. His assistant, Tricia Wurts, has danced
Zydeco and Cajun, as well as other dances, locally for the past 15 years!
Both are returning to First Night to help you pick up the fun where we left off last year!
