The Salvador Dali Museum
The Salvador Dalí Museum offers Fly Masks embellished with stick-on jewels at the Bank of America Tower.
Dalí painted gad flies as a symbol of his homeland. Flies also symbolize decay in Dali’s work.
Gad flies relate to St. Narcisso, the patron saint of Gerona who was killed while reciting mass.
According to Spanish legend, flies emerged from St. Narcisso’s crypt on at least three occasions to route invaders out of Spain.
FREE to the general public.
